My name is Farrell McKenna, and I’m running the 2025 New York City Marathon to support the Stew Leonard III Water Safety Foundation. I’m the US President of Ravyx, a company that manages the point-of-sale system for all eight Stew Leonard’s supermarkets and their wine stores. I’ve worked closely with the Stew’s team for years and have a deep respect for what they’ve built — both as a business and as a family.

That respect only deepened when I learned more about the Stew Leonard III Water Safety Foundation. After losing their 21-month-old son in a drowning accident, the Leonard family started the foundation to help prevent that kind of tragedy from happening to other families. Since then, it’s funded hundreds of thousands of swim lessons and water safety programs for kids.

As a dad of three young girls — all of whom are in swim lessons — this cause means a lot to me. We spend a lot of time around water, and I’ve seen firsthand how important it is for kids to be confident and safe in those environments. Supporting this foundation feels like a natural fit, both personally and professionally.

Running this marathon gives me the chance to put some purpose behind the miles. I’m proud to be doing it for a cause that hits close to home. I would greatly appreciate your support of this worthy and impactful cause. Thank you!
