Hi there! I’m Jeni Hollister, an elementary school teacher from West Palm Beach, Florida. I’m thrilled you’re here as I take on this run and raise money for a cause that truly matters.

As a mother of two boys raised in Florida, swimming has been an integral part of our lives for many years. I cherish countless memories of my kids taking part in open water relay swims around Key West, competing in swim meets, and enjoying playful days splashing in the ocean with their friends.

As we are all too familiar, life is precious; the best thing we can do for our kids is expose them early to the water and teach them valuable skills to reduce risk. It is difficult to state that drowning is the leading cause of accidental death in children ages 1 to 4, and third leading for ages 5 to 14. I deeply want all children (and their parents) to play in the water with joy, which is why I chose to raise money for this specific cause while training for the New York City Marathon. I’ll be turning 60 this September, and in November, my son and I will be running the marathon—a true bucket-list dream for me!
