I’m excited to be chasing a lifelong goal of running the 2025 TCS New York City Marathon — and even more grateful to be doing it in support of a cause that means so much to me.
The Stew Leonard III Water Safety Foundation is dedicated to saving lives one lesson at a time. For the past four years, I’ve been proud to support their mission of spreading awareness and providing swim education to families in need. Thanks to the incredible work of the Leonard family, the foundation has raised more than $6 million, with every dollar from their swim schools going directly back into funding free or low-cost swim lessons for children.
My grandfather, Bernard “Bernie Mac” McKernan, ran the Boston Marathon in 1982. What once felt impossible as a kid is finally in reach for me this year, and I couldn’t be more excited to follow in his footsteps. Running has always been more than just a sport for me — it’s where I find peace, reflect, and create opportunities to give back.
Over the past five years, I’ve completed the Movember Challenge, running 60 miles each November to raise awareness for men’s mental health and suicide prevention — a cause deeply personal to me. Through those efforts, I’ve raised more than $6,000, and now I’m honored to bring that same energy and purpose to the Stew Leonard III Foundation as part of their marathon team.
If you’re able, I would be deeply grateful for your support. Every donation — big or small — helps ensure more children learn the life-saving skill of swimming.
Thank you for helping me make every mile matter.
